FAQ
Everything people actually ask us about Drippy hydration packs. Still stuck? Email Drippyhydration@gmail.com.
Is Drippy Hydration a drink or a backpack?
A backpack — several, actually. Drippy Hydration makes wearable hydration packs with built-in water bladders for raves and festivals: LED light-up backpacks that glow on the dancefloor, and a cute, fashionable mini line in iridescent oil-slick and reflective finishes. We’re not an electrolyte powder, sports drink, or hydration supplement — we make the bag that carries your water.
How much water does a Drippy pack hold?
LED packs hold 2L. Mini packs (The Oil Slick and The Reflective) hold 1.5L. Both bladders are BPA-free and leak-proof.
What size are the packs?
LED packs: 15 in (H) x 7 in (W) x 4 in (D).
Mini packs: 10.5 in (H) x 9 in (W) x 3.5 in (D) — all minis share these dimensions.
If your event has a bag-size limit, check both against the published rules.
Is 1.5L to 2L enough water for a festival?
For most people it covers several hours of dancing between refills. Nearly every major festival has free water-refill stations, so the pack is designed to be topped up through the day rather than carry your entire day’s water at once.
How much does a Drippy pack weigh?
About 1 lb (0.45 kg) across the range, empty. Light enough that you forget it’s on once the bladder is in and the straps are set.
What is the pack made of?
A TPU-protected shell. TPU is a tough, flexible, water-resistant coating — it handles being knocked around in a crowd, splashed, and set down on questionable surfaces. The mini packs have vegan leather straps, and the LED packs have water-resistant zippers.
What are the LED light modes?
Three: Solid Light, Blink, and Rapid Blink. Cycle through them with the button on the battery pack.
How long do the LED lights stay on?
18+ hours of runtime on one set of 3 AAA batteries — more than a full festival night. Batteries are not included.
Is the battery removable?
Yes. The LED packs run on 3 removable AAA batteries, not a sealed built-in rechargeable. That means when the batteries die you swap them in about ten seconds and carry on — you can bring a spare set to a multi-day festival, and the pack never becomes useless because an internal battery reached end of life.
What happens to the battery pack if it rains or someone spills a drink?
The battery pack sits inside a water-resistant pocket, so ordinary festival conditions — rain, splashes, a spilled drink — are covered. The battery pack itself is not waterproof, so don’t submerge the bag or put it through a wash.
Do the mini packs light up?
No. The Oil Slick and Reflective minis have no LEDs. The Oil Slick has an iridescent oil-slick finish with rainbow hardware. The Reflective has a reflective shield that catches the light show and flares rainbow under strobes and lasers.
Are hydration packs allowed at festivals?
Most festivals allow hydration packs, but each event publishes its own size and style rules, and they change year to year. Measure ours against your event’s current published bag policy before you go: LED packs are 15 x 7 x 4 in and minis are 10.5 x 9 x 3.5 in (H x W x D).
How do I clean the pack and the hydration bladder?
The bladder is removable — hand wash it with warm soapy water and let it air dry fully before storing. The pack itself is spot-clean only. Do not machine wash or submerge it, especially the LED models.
Does it leak?
Both bladders are leak-proof and BPA-free, and the LED packs have water-resistant zippers. Seal the bladder fully before you load it.
Will it fit me?
All Drippy packs have fully adjustable straps designed to move with your body.
Do the LED packs come with batteries?
No. They take 3 AAA batteries, which are not included.
